What is the Puesta del Sol Mini-Auction? The Puesta del Sol PTA traditionally hold an auction every even year. To help sustain our donor giving and procurement efforts, we have decided to hold a mini auction in 2025. The mini auction will be a slightly less formal but still grown-ups only social gathering for our Puesta del Sol community.
Why does Puesta del Sol PTA have auctions? While our PTA and volunteers have attempted other fundraisers, the auction has been the most consistent and successful fundraising event that meets the large scale fundraising needs at Puesta del Sol. Our needs include Amity interns, classroom supplies, Spanish learning materials, teacher grants, and student enrichments, including Toymaker visits or other similar experiences. Proceeds from the live and online auction benefit the general budget to support these programs and more. Prior to the pandemic, the auction was run every other year. Now, more than ever, as we foresee even more budget challenges given the latest news from our district, our PTA's fundraising efforts-with your partnership and support in these efforts- will have monumental impact!
What happens during the mini auction? There will be amazing food and drinks from Castilla along with a live auction and paddle raise. The auction's meal choices will be a wide selection of buffet style items to accommodate for a variety of dietary needs.

March 28 7:30-10pm - Live Auction
What kind of items are offered in the auction? One-of-a-kind experiences, travel, chef tastings, entertainment, teacher led experiences, and more. There is something for everyone at every price point!
What kind of items are needed for donation? We often find some of our best items come from our families! If you have a donation, you can always head to the "Item Donations" tab and submit your items or experiences. You can also contact us at auction@puestadelsolpta.org and we will gladly talk with you about a procurement idea and send you a form to fill out.

What exactly included in the ticket price? Tickets include: admission to our live auction event with dinner and one ticket for a complimentary sangria.
Who will I sit with? The mini auction will not include assigned seats and tables!~ Instead there will be booths and lots of space for mingling. We observed from last year's event that our attendees really wanted the chance to hang out and laugh together. We want this evening to be the opportunity to do that! If you are also someone who would like to come but intimidated as you do not know anyone and the idea of this event is daunting, please reach out to us. Our auction committee is comprised of parents from all grades from prek-5th (and alumni!) and we will do our best to make sure this event is one that is fun for ALL.
What if I have allergies/dietary restrictions? Our committee is a small group and we will do our very best to honor all requests. Please reach out to us if you have a specific question or query about dietary concerns.
