What is the Puesta del Sol Auction?

While our PTA and volunteers have attempted other fundraisers,  the auction has been the most consistent and successful fundraising event that meets the large scale fundraising needs at Puesta del Sol.

 Our needs include Amity interns, classroom supplies, Spanish learning materials, teacher grants, student experiences & enrichments (including Toymaker visits, off campus tours, and more), as well as our PTA sponsored programs, community buildling events & afterschool activities.  Proceeds from the live and online auction benefit the general budget to support these and more. Prior to the pandemic, the auction was run every other year. Now, more than ever, as we foresee even more budget challenges given the latest news from our district, our PTA's fundraising efforts-with your partnership and support in these efforts- will be critical in supporting the needs of our school and any monetary donations you provide into the PTA will have direct and monumental impact to our school! 

Our auction is also a great night out to come out and celebrate our school and accomplishments! This Year will be extra special as we will be celebrating 40 y ears of our language program! 

What happens during the auction?

We have live music, cocktails, games, as well as an in person silent auction along with live auction, and afterparty dancing!  It will be a memorable night out. 

When does the auction take place?

Friday March 05 12:00am- ONLINE Auction Opens
Saturday March 14 5:00*-10:30pm - In Person Silent & Live Auction at Seattle Marriott Redmond
(*doors open early at 4:30 for VIP) 
Monday, March 16 11:59- ONLINE Bidding Closes

What kind of items are offered in the auction?

Popular auction you can expect to see will include one-of-a-kind experiences like international and domestic travels, Chef tastings, entertainment and more! There are items and experiences for all ages, including Run the School (formerly known as Principal for the Day), Cafecito Helper with Sra Brenda-an experience that includes naming a school lunch item after your student, teacher experiences, Mamas & Margaritas, and more! Classroom families are also putting together themed baskets to auction on a variety of themes. There is something for everyone at every price point!

What kind of items are needed for donation?

We often find some of our best items come from our families! 

If you or a family member have a fun job or skill that another adult or kid could learn from-or connection with someone who is open to sharing their experience? Or, perhaps access to travel, getaways, concerts/shows, or services? Perhaps you are an alumni that would love to run a baseball clinic, or someone who loves a subject and would love to run a fun outing. If you have a donation, you can always head to the "donations" tab and submit your items or experiences. You can also contact us at auction@puestadelsolpta.org and we will gladly talk with you about a procurement idea and send you a form to fill out. 

Are you looking for Sponsors?

Yes! If your company, or a company you know of would be interested in sponsoring the Puesta del Sol PTA auction, we have several different levels available. Please contact auction@puestadelsolpta.org.

What exactly is the difference between regular and VIP tickets?

Regular tickets include: admission to our live auction event with plated dinner 

VIP tickets include early check in and admission into our auction, plated 3 course meal, complimentary swag bags, and premiere seating closest to our auctioneer, Larry Snyder.

Who will I sit with?

The best guarantee would be to captain a table!  This would give you complete control of the 10 seats and also help our committee better plan for the event knowing we have filled tables! Tables also include additional discount to ticket prices that you can not find purchasing individually. 

If you would prefer ot purchase individual tickets, please know there will be no guarantee. However, you can request via email who you would like to sit by. We will be sending out RSVP confirmations towards late Feb/early March and we will do our best to honor all asks. If you are also someone who would like to come but intimidated as you do not know anyone and the idea of this event is daunting, please reach out to us. Our auction committee is comprised of parents from all grades from prek-5th (and alumni!) and we will do our best to make sure this event is one that is fun for ALL.

I'd like to stay at the hotel after the auction, can I book a room for the night?

Yes! We have reserved an Auction Room Block at a special price of $172 per night for those staying Saturday, March 14 to Sunday, March 15. rooms must be reserved by

If I need additional details into my seating, what can I do? 

Our committee is a small group and we will do our very best to honor all requests. Please reach out to us if you have a specific question or query that has not yet been addressed.

The company I work for does Corporate Matching. Can I get a receipt for my donations for the event?

You should receive receipts with details on your purchases. If you do not, we can print up an itemized receipt for you after auction! Please email auction@puestadelsolpta.org after the auction to request.
